As a courtesy to our members, Voyagers has established this policy regarding allergies. Voyagers strives to be as inclusive as possible and to create a welcoming environment for our members and guests. However, Voyagers is not responsible for monitoring allergy-related issues or for allergy safety. Parents maintain responsibility for their children while attending Voyagers programs, including being responsible for what they eat, where they sit, ensuring hand-washing, and monitoring their general health and well-being.
Voyagers does not ban particular foods or other allergens from the building. Each family has its own food and nutritional needs, and it is not possible to guarantee that individual foods or other allergens will not enter the building.
This allergy policy enables the President to establish allergen precautions when, at his or her discretion, such action serves the organization’s needs. When deciding whether to join Voyagers, parents and guardians should be aware that Voyagers cannot ensure that the allergy policy or precautions are followed. Before joining Voyagers, parents will need to sign the Allergy Policy Form and acknowledge that they have read, understand, and accept the terms of this allergy policy.
The current allergy precautions page describe the measures we ask members to take to address current known allergies in the community.
